MEDICAL CLINIC MANAGER

The Medical Clinic Manager is responsible for the operations team of COLFS Clinic medical office and supervises, hires, terminates, and trains administrative employees.  The Medical Clinic Manager oversees patient scheduling, follow up, referrals and Electronic Record Management (EMR) coding and billing.  The Medical Clinic Manager, working under the direction of the Medical Director, ensures that patient care programs are managed effectively to deliver quality care.

MEDICAL ASSISTANT / SCRIBE

The Medical Assistant assists physicians, nurses, and other medical staff by performing administrative and clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records. Clinical duties may include, such preparing treatment room for patient exams, recording patient medical history, and cleaning and sterilizing medical equipment.  Scribe duties include accompanying the provider in exam room, documenting clinical notes, laboratory results, prescription refills, procedures and billing information as directed by the provider.

MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST

The Medical Receptionist is responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate staff, greeting, and checking in all patients for office appointments, including paperwork for patients to fill out, scanning insurance cards, entering all demographic information into the electronic health record, entering referrals for office visits into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system, obtaining insurance eligibility, scanning for staff as needed, and working closely with physicians and staff.

PHYSICIAN

Under the direction of the Medical Director, the Physician offers and provides complete medical services to patients. The Physician provides caring, affordable, high-quality healthcare and supportive services to everyone, with a special commitment to our mission of serving uninsured, low income and medically underserved persons. You thrive on the challenge of working in a fast-paced environment with many chronically ill patients, knowing you are making a difference in your community every day. You enjoy partnering with the provider team to provide excellence in medical services and supervising mid-level providers.

NURSE PRACTITIONER

Nurse Practitioner, under the guidance of a Physician, provides general and preventative care, conducts check-ups, treats illnesses, orders lab tests and prescribes medication for children and adults, supporting all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations.  The Nurse Practitioner will help patients with healthy lifestyle choices for their age, support wellness plans and maintain medical records.

PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT

REGISTERED NURSE

Under the direction of a Physician, the Registered Nurse is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. Their duties include communicating with medical staff about patient needs, administering medications to aid their patients’ health and using medical equipment to monitor patients’ vital signs.  The Registered Nurse will help patients with healthy lifestyle choices for their age, support wellness plans and maintain medical records.

ULTRASOUND TECHNICIAN

Under the direction of a Physician, the Ultrasound Technician is responsible for using ultrasound equipment to help visualize internal anatomy functions, including pregnancy monitoring. The duties include calibration and use of ultrasound equipment to conduct appointments, image recording and communication with medical personnel regarding findings.
