Telehealth Visit Information
What is Telehealth?
COLFS Medical Clinic offers telehealth visits for the convenience of our patients. Telehealth visits are also known as telemedicine.
Telehealth is a branch of healthcare that employs telecommunications technology to facilitate virtual medical appointments. Through video conferencing and other communication tools, patients can connect with physicians, specialists, therapists, and other healthcare providers from the comfort of their own homes or any location with internet access.
Convenience and Accessibility
One of the primary advantages of Telehealth appointments is the convenience they offer. Patients no longer need to travel long distances or spend hours in waiting rooms to see their doctors. Instead, they can schedule appointments at a time that works best for them, reducing the need to take time off from work or rearrange their daily routines.
This accessibility proves especially beneficial for individuals living in rural or remote areas, where access to specialized medical care may be limited. Telehealth breaks down geographical barriers and enables patients to access a broader network of healthcare professionals regardless of their location.
We use a service called Doxy.me, allowing you to meet with your doctor from anywhere using your smart phone, laptop or other smart device.
Doxy.me is secure, encrypted, and HIPAA-compliant so your information is safe.
